Beh in CG come in altre serie come Macross F i mecha o svolgono un ruolo marginale sono considerati delle semplici armi. Ance in Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann nonostante ci siano dei super mecha la serie non incentrata sull'esaltazione di questi come avviene invece in Gundam o altre serie "Mecha" per eccellenza.
